Welcome to the Waitemata Bridge Club website.
Waitemata Bridge Club is a small, friendly bridge club situated in Covil Park at Te Atatu South, West Auckland.
If you are looking for a fun, social, stimulating and often challenging session, then come on down. We are open under Covid Level 2, and the use of masks at club play is encouraged.
The bridge sessions held at the club are:
Monday 7.30pm - 10.30pm
Tuesday 11.00am - 2.30pm
Wednesday 7.30pm - 10.30pm
Thursday 10.00am - 1.00pm (Junior/Novice Session)
Friday 11.00am - 2.30pm
Waitemata Bridge Club also offers the following extra activities:
- Beginners lessons
- Social Sunday Bridge held once a month from 1.00pm - 4.00pm for the members who enjoy a relaxing session with opportunities to learn from the more seasoned Bridge players.
- Improvers and Intermediate lessons to improve your Bridge game
Bridge is the greatest card game of all, and it can provide immense challenge and enjoyment for the rest of your life.
Research has shown that Bridge is excellent for developing concentration and problem-solving skills. It's also a very social game, so a good way to make new friends.
The game of bridge has two main parts: the Bidding (also called the Auction) and the Play.
The most common comment that you hear from bridge players is “I have been playing for X years and I am still learning”, so you will never get bored with bridge, as you will never know it all
There are 635 billion different possible bridge hands so each hand that you play will be unique.
