Weekend Improvers Lessons

From time to time throughout the year, the club offers additional lesson sessions at the weekend that are suitable for all members to attend. These provide refreshers on various aspects of the game, both in bidding and also the play of the cards. The date and time of these lessons are advertised here on our website, as and when they are scheduled to be held. Members are also advised by email of any upcoming weekend lessons. Declarer Play at Suit Contracts

Play Techniques

The focus of this lesson will be on card play. After the opening lead has been made, dummy goes down and declarer then makes a plan about how to play the hands in order to make the contract. This can involve ruffing, ducking, or developing a side suit, or any combination of these methods in order to achieve your goal.

You will also play bridge hands which relate to this lesson, so very worthwhile.

This teaching session is open to all Club members.
